Carers FIRST is a not for profit organisation supporting people who look after a relative or friend who due to ill health, physical or mental illness, disability, frailty, or addiction cannot manage without their support. We provide information, advice, guidance, emotional support, training and activities, giving carers an opportunity to have a break from their caring role and help them to get the support they need.

The Partnerships and Strategic Development Manager is a new role, adding much needed outreach capacity to our team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the main purpose of the role will be to build relationships with new and existing NHS, Local Authority commissioners and voluntary sector partners to help Carers FIRST extend its reach so that more carers can benefit from our services. Supporting the CEO to model and develop new and extended services are a key outcome from the work of this role. You will act as the external face of the organisation, pursuing new areas of funding and potential partnerships with a wide range of organisations. The Partnerships and Strategic Development Manager will line manage our grant and trusts fundraising coordinator and work closely with the other members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure service development is integrated effectively into all aspects of the charity.

Candidates must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role. In addition, it is essential for you to hold a full current driving licence with access to a car. In return, you will benefit from working for a not-for-profit organisation that delivers a service which makes a real difference to people’s lives. We offer training and development to help you grow your career, good annual leave entitlement, flexible working options, childcare vouchers, access to our work place pension, employee assistance programme and a Benenden Healthcare package.
