Information Governance Officer
We are currently recruiting for 2 Information Governance Officers, you will be responsible for supporting the Information Governance Manager in providing the following service:
Effective management of Information Governance matters, FOI requests and Data Protection SAR’s within statutory timescales and reporting on performance across the Council departments.
You will work with senior managers and staff to develop Information Governance statistics, policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice and support teams in implementing the same.
The successful applicants will assist teams to introduce and maintain robust arrangements to ensure the safety and security of personal information in digital and paper format.
Assisting with investigations into complaints, incidents and breaches relating to the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and other Information Governance legislation and liaising with the regulator.
Delivering training and supporting teams regarding the processing of personal data.
Assisting with development, implementation and reviews of all information governance policies and supporting teams to ensure compliance.
- 5 GCSE's including Maths and English (Grades A to C) or equivalent
- Law Degree or GDPR Practitioner Certificate or minimum 2 years’ experience of working in an information governance environmentDesirable Qualification
- An understanding and experience of local government services
- Knowledge and understanding of information governance standards and best practice
