An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Schools HR Advice and Consultancy Service which would suit a dynamic and dedicated HR professional with CIPD level 5 or equivalent HR qualification and/or extensive relevant experience.

The role involves delivering consultancy services to around 30 Medway and Kent schools and liaison with over 100 schools, offering variety and scope for impact. The team is looking to develop HR services in a competitive market, requiring well developed interpersonal skills and a passion for providing high quality interventions.

Tasks include supporting Headteachers and Governing Bodies in grievance, disciplinary, capability, absence management procedures; meaning you will carry a caseload as well as offering advice and guidance on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for designing and delivering training programmes, policy review and implementation, managing investigations and undertaking bespoke consultancy work.

Essential Qualifications –

  • CIPD or equivalent HR qualification and/or extensive relevant experience  

Essential Experience –

  • Demonstrable ability to use advanced theoretical/practical/procedural/organisational /policy knowledge across a specialist area
  • Demonstrable knowledge of employment legislation and its practical implications
