We are looking for a Project Support Officer to support the Highways Design team through the implementation of highway projects. This support will consist of:

Co-ordination and requisition of Topographical Surveys and ensure they’ve been carried out correctly.

Process orders and place works orders using the Council’s ordering systems

Co-ordination of the project programme and the road safety team ensuring that the various programming issues are monitored, recorded and acting on as required to ensure team efficiency in delivery

Manage the Technical Appraisal and Safety Audit process on behalf of the team, ensuring timely responses from all teams and accurate record keeping.

Organise meetings, take and produce minutes of meetings and circulate to ensure agreement.

Arrange, engage in, and support the team with regard to ongoing training, including health and safety (CSCS), engineering knowledge, up-to-date skills etc.

Provide a customer response, especially relating to capital projects (i.e. Freedom of Information requests).

Obtain statutory undertaker information (C2 to C4) and maintain in the work job file.

Manage databases and ensure accurate and timely input of information, including road space and street works notices.
