Carers FIRST is a leading carer’s charity providing information, advice and support to young people and adults who look after a relative or friend who could not manage without their help. We currently serve carers in six areas in the South East, London and East of England and are recruiting 2 Carers Support and Assessment Co-ordinators based in our Central Carers Hub in Strood. Working days to be discussed at interview but ideally one post will work Mondays, Tuesdays + 1 other day and one post will work Thursdays, Fridays + 1 other day.

The postholder will work within our busy Carers Hub team providing information and advice to carers on the telephone, e-chat and email. Being the first point of contact for carers, you will be required to provide tailored information, advice, and guidance undertaking a proportionate assessment of carers needs and where appropriate assist with support planning.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate they have excellent communication and teamwork skills. You will have a working knowledge of health and social care, particularly relating to adults and carers. Experience of providing support to carers over the telephone would be an advantage.
