To gain the knowledge and skills required to effectively support the work of the Housing Strategy and Partnerships Team. The team carries out a number of roles which include:

The delivery of Affordable Housing

Responding to Customer queries and complaints around housing issues.

Ensuring our commissioned Housing Related Support providers are paid on a quarterly basis for their services and supporting the team in carrying out monitoring.

Researching and Monitoring Medway’s Housing Strategies

Working in partnership to reduce Homelessness

To provide admin support to the Head of Strategic Housing

Example tasks that will be undertaken within this role are:

  • Taking notes at meetings
  • Scanning
  • Arranging meetings and booking rooms
  • Checking finance systems
  • Contacting partner agencies to request updates for different projects
  • Putting draft letter responses together for Customer Relations
  • Checking data received from services against the standards required

Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
