This role is an opportunity to work within the area of safeguarding and quality assurance. You will work collaboratively with the Senior Designated Officer, to ensure that the Local Authority respond to allegations against those working with children in accordance with relevant procedures and in a timely manner.
This operational role will involve you offering a professional consultation service, providing advice and information to staff within Medway Council and partner agencies and organisations regarding allegations management and safe employment in order to maximise the safety and welfare of children and young people.
Through your work, you will be expected to evidence the voice of the child and that they and their family appropriately participate in the investigative process relating to allegations management and that the child or young person’s interests are paramount
Aside of the management of allegations you will also support the Senior Designated officer with training and awareness raising for staff across all agencies and organisations in Medway on allegations management to promote and develop good practice to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
