An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Finance and Business Support Apprentice to join the Property and Capital Projects team. This is a great chance to gain the Business Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship whilst working for the Capital Projects team.
As part of this role you can expect to undertake the following:
Assist in technical and business support to the Property & Capital Projects team including helping producing management reports, performance monitoring and recording of project and resource statistics compilation. Using the council’s Finance and integrated management system and the service area accounts. As well as assisting with budget monitoring, fee income predictions/forecasting and monitoring reports.
To provide support to project management including compiling of Dashboard Reports, monthly updates, brief/commission spreadsheets. Monitoring and collection of project fees. To support the Capital Projects Programme Manager and Service Manager in minute taking
Assisting with Finance and Contract Management with the support of our project manager, Filing and Archiving. Raising and paying orders.
Level 3 Apprenticeship:
The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves 12 – 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
