To contact families with the aim of Facilitating Family Group Conferences (FGC) for those families identified by Children’s Services as requiring the service.

To arrange contact with families, including extended family members and family networks, to prepare for the meeting

To undertake all relevant organisational activities that meet FGC objectives and outcomes which will include arranging conferences (including refreshment & travel) and any associated meetings, correspondence and note taking

To support families to develop their own family plan which demonstrates the SMART objectives (Specific, Measurable, Attainable and Relevant)

To support the provision of services to families through direct contact with children and families as deemed appropriate

To adopt flexible working whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries in provision of support, advice, and conflict resolution to families

To maintain systems relating to the performance of the service for families to feed into reports on activity and performance to ensure managers are aware of progress and issues.

To develop the knowledge of partner agencies about FGCs and the benefit of FGCs in early intervention
