Following our ILACS inspection in July 2019, we are seeking an exceptional and experienced individual to lead our improvement journey at Medway. You will be working towards our vision to transform our services and achieve the best outcomes for our children, young people and families.

You will have the ability to lead the development of strategic vision for Children’s Services involving key stakeholders, and taking into account future trends, national/wider organisational priorities and future service needs.

You will have -
• a recognised social work qualification, and extensive post qualifying experience of managing children’s services at a senior level.
• a relevant academic or professional qualification together with significant experience in senior management roles in a large organisation with children’s services focus, and with a track record of delivery.
• extensive experience of leading safeguarding and children’s social care systems together with a strong understanding of how best outcomes for children can be achieved and sustained.
• professional social work registration with Social Work England, and ongoing commitment to Social Work England Professional Standards.
