Residential Care Worker
Aut Even is a residential respite unit for young people. Our home provides short breaks for young people who have learning disabilities and complex health needs.
As a Residential Care Worker you will provide personal, health, social and domestic care to our young people in accordance with their care plans. Your role will include administering medication, enabling and supporting young people to make choices and maintaining accurate case records.
You should have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, an excellent understanding of safeguarding requirements and a GCSE Grade 5-9 in English Language (or equivalent). Previous experience of supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and complex health needs is essential.
You will be expected to work various shifts on a flexible 4 week rota pattern including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep in. You should also hold a full driving licence and be willing to drive a mini bus as required.

- GCSE English Language (GCSE Grade 5-9) or equivalent
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within two years of commencing in post.
- Demonstrable experience of working directly with young people with learning difficulties and some complex health needs, there may be times when this will include working directly with some challenging behaviour
