HRA Housing Maintenance Contracts Manager
Medway Council Landlord Services owns and manages around 3000 homes mainly in Gillingham and Rainham.
A vacancy has arisen within Housing Services for a Contracts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property maintenance professional to join a forward thinking team to supervise a variety of responsive and planned maintenance contracts, working to achieve our service plan targets.
The Contracts Manager plays a key role, contributing to a strong approach to contract management, compliance and assurance. This fixed term appointment offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of working with others, to develop and maintain a robust and effective approach to ensure we meet all our regulatory and legislative requirements.
Main duties include:
- To supervise a team of building inspectors who carry out regular inspections of maintenance contracts and repair works and whom provide a support role to front line housing services staff. To ensure quality is achieved within the contractual frameworks
- To supervise a range of responsive and planned maintenance contractors and repair works to ensure the delivery of a quality housing maintenance service, developing partnered principles as appropriate
- Work to ensure that the Council's Housing Stock is effectively repaired and maintained and the Council meets its statutory obligations in undertaking repairs
You must be able to demonstrate
- Knowledge of statutory compliance across social housing and corporate buildings
- Demonstrable experience in the building, construction, civil engineering and associated operations sector related to housing repairs and maintenance
- Demonstrable experience of contract management in housing maintenance
