Apprentice (Early Help Transformation Team)
This is a fixed term contract for 18-24 months
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice, with good communication and interpersonal skills, to join the Early Help Transformation Team
You will support the Early Help Transformation Team (EHTT) with day-to-day administration, acting as the main point of contact for enquiries and visitors to the EHTT, dealing with simple queries and requests from colleagues for information and/or services in order to ensure internal and external customers are welcomed and excellent customer service is provided.
Taking and responding to telephone calls ensuring these are dealt with or passed to the relevant person in a clear and professional way so all tasks are actioned. These can be from colleagues, partners or members of the public. Making telephone calls were required to other agencies to chase paperwork needed for our teams’ processes to continue.
Managing the team inbox by dealing with email enquires where possible and forwarding these on to the relevant person if necessary, ensuring all correspondence is answered to. Sending out email updates from our team on a regular basis to ensure all our partners are informed of our latest news.
Daily admin duties including dealing with all incoming and outgoing post, scanning, and updating systems to show new and relevant information, and ensuring the correct documentation is displayed on these – and maintaining this on a day to day basis. Following the correct practices by filling out audit sheets for the Senior Administrator to ensure team processes can continue.
Supporting various meetings and training courses by booking rooms, scanning, printing and distributing the correct paperwork, creating a list of attendees for reference purposes and learning the process of minute taking from Senior Admin.
Supporting the Senior Administrator with various tasks including data processes and other tasks ensuring support to staff during periods of absence or high volumes of work to maintain the efficient provision of administrative services.
The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves 12 – 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
