Customer Advisor Apprentice
Role:
To learn and develop the skills to:
- to provide a high-quality frontline response to customers and assist in the successful running of Medway Council sports centres for the benefit of customers.
- to provide excellent customer service including face-to-face and over the telephone, ensuring all customer complaints and comments are noted and passed to a supervising member of staff.
- to learn to operate till operations and online systems to serve customers.
- to respond to the needs of customers to ensure their time in the sports centre is enjoyable and fulfilling.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Customer Service Apprentice to join the Sport and Leisure team within the Sport, Leisure, Heritage and Tourism Service. This is a great chance to gain the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship whilst working for the Sport and Leisure team that provide manage the leisure centre services on behalf of the council.
As part of this role you can expect to undertake the following tasks:
- Face to Face serving of customers
- Operating booking and till systems
- Understanding programming and timetables
- Updating of systems
- Email inbox monitoring
- Maintenance of database
- General bookings
- Using the council finance systems
- Responding to queries via telephone or email
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
