Medway Council is looking for an experienced software developer professional to manage and technically lead their busy in-house Development Team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and proficient in using .Net C#, as well as providing the technical lead when planning and delivering in-house system developments. You will develop and deliver a wide range of applications ranging from web, console and mobile apps ensuring that they meet the appropriate information security and accessibility standards. You will also develop integrations into back-office systems using API's and third-party RPA software.

You will work closely with the business and all sections of the ICT Department specifically the Infrastructure, Database and Network teams.

You will require a good working relationship with the Applications Support and System Admin Teams to ensure that all development is documented and handed over for support.

Working as part of the Development team you will be required to work closely with all members of the team, including assisting and mentoring the Junior developer.

This is an exciting and fast-paced role where you will have responsibility for many development projects end-to-end, from the design stage all the way through to production.

This role will be Fixed – Permanently office based at Gun Wharf, Dock Rd Chatham Me44TR, to start with but after initial probation period of 6 months has finished this can move into the Hybrid – Works from home or in the office if line manger agree.
