Business Administration Level 3 Apprentice – Public Health
This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the team with a wide range of duties essential to the delivery of Medway Stop Smoking Service and NHS Health Checks.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administration Level 3 Apprentice to join the Stop Smoking & NHS Health Checks team within the Public Health Service. This is a great chance to gain the Business Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 whilst working for the Stop Smoking & NHS Health Checks team that provide behaviour change support, health interventions and referrals.
The successful candidate will be pro-active, well organised and passionate not only about improving the wellbeing of Medway residents but about providing excellent customer service and business support.
As part of this role you can expect to undertake the following tasks:
- Provide reception duties at the Smokefree Advice Centre, Chatham
- Prepare for and attend outreach events to promote the Stop Smoking Service and NHS Health Checks
- Carry out stock checks, order and receive deliveries
- Prepare and log post
- Data inputting and basic data sorting
- Email inbox monitoring
- Maintenance of database
- Room bookings
- Responding to simple queries via telephone or email
- General admin duties including filing, printing, laminating, preparing training packs etc
For Level 3 Apprentice’s - The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two-year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves approximately 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
